LEAD was founded in 1999 with the goal of developing the next generation of leaders in Israel. We specialize in training processes of leadership development through a unique track, adapted to teenagers.
The method was developed and implemented by a multi disciplinary group of experts in the field of leadership development, psychologists and educators.
Approximately 140 tenth grade students from all over the country, are selected to the program each year. The candidates are leadership potential candidates, evaluated by such parameters of personal and interpersonal abilities, motivation and the ability to influence.
Along the basic program, which lasts 2 years, the ambassadors go through a series of conventions and seminars and are experienced in initiation, planning, management and implementation of community projects in the community, individual and team framework.
LEAD is a non-political, non-profit organization, which is privately funded.
The participation in LEAD is free of charge.
The basic program lasts two years after which- during their military and national service and their academic track- the alumni are accompanied by the professional team of LEAD so that they may continue to develop their leadership potential and abilities. Such accompaniment enables them to fully express their abilities by undergoing additional mentorship and having access to the tools acquired along their basic training in LEAD.
Parallel to pursuing their ultimate career paths , LEAD alumni continue to contribute and serve the society via meaningful military service in the IDF, establishmentand leading impressive community projects and involvement in students' associations andnon-profit social organizations.
